The Rev. Canon Barbara J. Price has many years of experience teaching in the areas of pastoral theology, leadership, and congregational development. She is also Vicar of St. Peter’s Church in the Diocese of Western New York. She has been a spiritual director for twelve years, working with priests, deacons, and laity of various denominations. She received her training through St. Joseph Center for Spirituality. She is a member of Spiritual Directors International and the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross.
Rev. John Colacino is a member of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. He has experience in parish ministry and has served as director of both lay and religious formation for his community as well as diaconal formation for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester. He spent several years in a full-time preaching ministry leading parish missions and retreats across the country. He holds doctoral degrees in theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas in Rome, and in ministry from the Colgate Rochester Divinity School. He has taught in local formation programs in the Episcopal Dioceses of Rochester, West Virginia and Central New York. He is currently assistant professor of religious studies at St. John Fisher College and served as associate professor of ascetical theology and director of formation at Bexley Hall Seminary when it was in Rochester NY.
The Rev. Dr. Han van den Blink has many years of experience as a psychologist, pastoral counselor, parish priest, and spiritual director. He has trained for spiritual direction at the Shalem Institute and is a member of the Fellowship of St. John, an associate order of the Society of St. John the Evangelist. He is also a member of the Society of Pastoral Theology, a Diplomate of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, of which he is past President, and a Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is associate priest at Grace Episcopal Church, Elmira, New York
ADJUNCT FACULTY
The Rev. Dr. Karl Ruttan is Canon for Life Formation in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio. Since July of 2007, he has served in Southern Ohio as Dean of the Anglican Academy and in 2008 became Canon for Life Formation. He is a graduate of Kenyon College with a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary, a Masters in Counseling and Doctor of Philosophy in Spirituality from Duquesne University. He is a spiritual director, and a retreat and conference leader with interests in spiritual formation, men’s spirituality, interfaith dialogue and developing gifts for ministry.
S. Joan Wagner
The Rev. Canon Carolyn Lumbard is recently retired from the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester, where she served as Canon for congregational development and communications. She developed and taught many courses in spiritual studies, leadership, and ministry development. She has served as a spiritual director and leadership coach throughout her career, working with lay and ordained people in different denominations. Currently she is pursuing studies in Ignatian spirituality, Enneagram and reiki.
